Pressing On... An Introduction and Welcome

I am a wife, mother, daughter, sister, niece, friend, teacher, writer, and disciple of Christ. Most days, I find it really challenging to navigate all these roles. 

But I am committed to the journey so that, in the words of the Apostle Paul, "I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith — that I may know him and the power of his resurrection ... I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 3:8-14)

Once a week or so, I will share snapshots of my journey and explore the questions that challenge me along the way. Since I often feel I'm as if I'm at a street corner, waiting for the light to tell me whether to stop, go, or wait, I'm calling this blog "On the Corner of Faith and Family." Faith and Family inform every step I take. Along these two roads, life's humor, sorrows, dilemmas, solutions, fun, and fears all go whizzing by. This corner rests at the most important intersection in my life, so here I'll share some of my own stories as well as some really great stories from folks who inspire me to appreciate my blessings and to live intentionally.
